Our Journey Raising Two Children with Special Needs

This blog chronicles our life raising two children, Nicholas 15, diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome and Weston 18, diagnosed with Autism/Asperger's/ADHD. It's the ups, the downs, the joys, the sorrows and most importantly, the beauty of living a life less perfect, a life more meaningful.

Snow, Glorious Snow

Well, we here in New England missed our first Nor'easter.....as it blew out to sea and left us all disappointed that we missed our first "foot of snow" and chance for a white Christmas. It was so disappointing since our local weather forecasters had been predicting "a ton of snow" from the highly anticipated first snow of the season.

They were wrong.

This morning however, once again the weather folks were wrong as we all woke up to a dusting of snow. It seems that same storm system that blew out to sea has slid backwards and into the New England area giving us all at least and inch or 2 of snow.

Weston, my nature boy, is always the first outside and into the cold to enjoy the snow! He loves it. Notice he has no gloves on......ahhhhh!

Here he is, plowing the walkway with his "front loader". Yes, I know all of the names of the heavy equipment used to plow, dig, scrape and roll, dirt and snow, thanks to a "Hard Hat Harry" video we have watched a thousand times. Alas, the life of a mother with boys!

I think the only one who was not happy about the snow was Muffy, I think she needs a warmer coat.

Once again our weather forecasters are predicting another "whopper storm" for Christmas weekend.
We'll see how much we get this time.......

Happy Holidays to all......wishing you all a white Christmas!

It seems like we live on another planet altogether out here in Los Angeles! No snow, of course, but incessant rain that will hopefully stop soon and leave us with our usual temperate days. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
