Our Journey Raising Two Children with Special Needs

This blog chronicles our life raising two children, Nicholas 14, diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome and Weston 17, diagnosed with Autism/Asperger's/ADHD. It's the ups, the downs, the joys, the sorrows and most importantly, the beauty of living a life less perfect, a life more meaningful.

Rockin' Out

Nicholas is on a mission. The objective: to become just like his older brother. So, my calm laid-back little eight-year-old has decided to ditch his once favorite "toddler tunes" band, The Wiggles, and replace it with the hard core rock n roll band, Black Sabbath.
Here, you can see them rockin out to Iron Man on YouTube. Weston is playing classic air guitar. Nicholas has been designated as the drummer. A Ringo Starr in the making, this little musician can beat the heck out of a set of "air drums". I must say I much preferred the Wiggles since the decibel level is well within the safe hearing limit. I worry about this now since I lost most of my own hearing from listening to the same Ozzie Osborne and band in the 70's. Oh brother!
