Our Journey Raising Two Children with Special Needs
This blog chronicles our life raising two children, Nicholas 14, diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome and Weston 17, diagnosed with Autism/Asperger's/ADHD. It's the ups, the downs, the joys, the sorrows and most importantly, the beauty of living a life less perfect, a life more meaningful.

This is our miniature plug-in Frosty decoration.
We have had him for many years. Every Christmas, for the past 11 years Frosty has taken up residence at the foot of our stairs, faithfully warming our hallway with the soft glow from the 5 watt bulb that's stuck in his back. Every year, he has steadfastly guarded the bottom of our stairway. A solitary Christmas figure performing his Christmas duty, alone and unrecognized.
He has had a boring life........that is until today.
Today, for some reason Frosty is now Nick's BFF.
Perhaps it was the many years our tiny white friend spent gleefully and quietly attending his post, or maybe it was the happy expression that never leaves his silly silicone face.....but whatever the reason, suddenly my son, Nicholas has a new found fondness for Frosty.
