Our Journey Raising Two Children with Special Needs

This blog chronicles our life raising two children, Nicholas 15, diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome and Weston 18, diagnosed with Autism/Asperger's/ADHD. It's the ups, the downs, the joys, the sorrows and most importantly, the beauty of living a life less perfect, a life more meaningful.

Still, There is Beauty

So often I get overwhelmed by the difficult aspects of raising a child diagnosed with Prader Willi Syndrome, the hunger, the behavior, the OCD, the seizures, the muscle weakness.

I do not take the time to celebrate all that is beautiful about my son, Nicholas.

So, today this post is all about the beauty of PWS...it is about what I love most about Nicholas.

I love his face.....

I love his warm heart and gentle spirit

I love how he embraces "the magic".

And sees the beauty in everyday things

I love how he can fall asleep almost anywhere

I love his curious nature and his need to explore everything!

He is a warm and loving soul

I love how he has taught me to see the beauty too....

This is beautiful and so very precious.

P.S. I love the toy dog sleeping with him on the couch. Sooo cute!
