The boys were both very happy.
Weston delighted in a new BMX bike and although it is not "motorized" as he'd like, it is still capable of carrying him through the dirt and mud of the trails behind our home.
Nicholas on the other hand, was very specific about what he wanted this year...a Dora the Explorer kitchen. Santa did not disappoint him.
In the past, Nicholas always had trouble keeping up with the rate and speed at which Weston tore through his presents. Nick's fine motor difficulties made it tough for him to open presents quickly. This year, however,Nicholas was like a lightning bolt, tearing through wrapping paper as quickly as his brother did, his hands a blur! And on his face, a smile!
After the presents were opened, both boys enjoyed some time outside. It was cloudy and cold with a few flurries falling from the sky.

"What did I do?!
Of course it wouldn't be a holiday without Muffy pilfering some forbidden treats. As we spent our time outside, Muffy, the sneak, spent her time inside our home rummaging through the delicate treats on our holiday buffet table. Yes, Muffy the insatiable hound, eat an entire plate of ham/cheese and pineapple appetizers...toothpicks and all.
I was not very happy since I spent much of the morning lovingly preparing our festive feast! Only to return from the outdoors to see the pretty table now in ruins, ransacked by a rebellious rascal. Of course she spent much of the day with a hellacious bellyache recovering in her rehab crate!
Maybe next holiday....we'll learn.
