Our Journey Raising Two Children with Special Needs

This blog chronicles our life raising two children, Nicholas 15, diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome and Weston 18, diagnosed with Autism/Asperger's/ADHD. It's the ups, the downs, the joys, the sorrows and most importantly, the beauty of living a life less perfect, a life more meaningful.

A BBQ Peace Offering

After Saturday's camping catastrophe, Pete decided to make it up to the boys with a family BBQ.

He may not have a lot of culinary creativity, but the man can make a darn good burger!

Of course Muffy knows exactly where to plant herself.

Much more relaxed in their home environment.

Logical, as Weston and Nicholas are in a familiar place : they know exactly what to do and what they can do when they are not okay.
So, as they are in a familiar environment, they are more relaxed :)
This explains that, as we say in French ;-)

Oh, what a good dad Pete is and bless their hearts for trying! They look so pooped out, just sitting in the chairs.
