Our Journey Raising Two Children with Special Needs

This blog chronicles our life raising two children, Nicholas 15, diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome and Weston 18, diagnosed with Autism/Asperger's/ADHD. It's the ups, the downs, the joys, the sorrows and most importantly, the beauty of living a life less perfect, a life more meaningful.

Some People Feel the Rain

"Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet"  Bob Marley

Weston is a nature boy. He loves to be outside. Rain, snow, sleet, hail, it does not matter to this boy.

It was raining buckets all weekend here in New England, but to Weston it was a chance for a new adventure, a chance to feel the rain.  He donned some of his newly purchased, and slightly over-sized rain gear and designed a pool-building construction site in Nicholas's favorite pool.

Yes, the great outdoors is where Weston needs to be. It is here that he is calmed and "in his element" no matter what kind of "elements" mother nature decides to send.
