Our Journey Raising Two Children with Special Needs

This blog chronicles our life raising two children, Nicholas 14, diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome and Weston 17, diagnosed with Autism/Asperger's/ADHD. It's the ups, the downs, the joys, the sorrows and most importantly, the beauty of living a life less perfect, a life more meaningful.

Guess What Time It Is?

I'll give you a hint.

Still don't know?
How about this?

Why it's the Magic Season, of course, and no one could be happier than Nicholas.

The cold evening temperatures here in New England, have not gone unnoticed by my fire-loving boy.

Nick loves all things fall.  He loves pumpkins, fires and twinkling lights. He is counting the days until it is Halloween. His happy and celebrating spirit is contagious and I must admit that even I, the crumudgeon,  have gotten into the spirit this year. I visited our local farm with my good friend S to pick some apples and purchase lots of home baked goodies, like this cherry pie.

How could I resist?
It was as good as it looked.
Nicholas has purchased several "squash friends" who are currently sitting at the place of honor on our kitchen table where Weston and his sensitive sniffer are monitoring the gutted gourds for freshness.

Welcome to the Magic Season to all of our readers!
p.s. Thank you to all of you for the well wishes for Weston. We are working with the school to address his anxiety issues. We have an emergency meeting on Friday. I will provide you all with an update soon.
