Our Journey Raising Two Children with Special Needs

This blog chronicles our life raising two children, Nicholas 15, diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome and Weston 18, diagnosed with Autism/Asperger's/ADHD. It's the ups, the downs, the joys, the sorrows and most importantly, the beauty of living a life less perfect, a life more meaningful.

Date Night

Recently, I have been scheduling some date nights with hubby.

A few quiet nights here and there for just the two of us; where we can enjoy some quiet uninterrupted conversation and more importantly....some fun.

Saturday night we visited Newburyport and dined at a restaurant called Andiamo's.

 We sat at the bar.
Pete had his usual (Coors Lite in a bottle)
I had the lemon/grapefruit martini

For the first time ever, we both ordered the same meal....the lamb chops, cooked and seasoned to perfection.

But perhaps the best part of the entire meal was the pumpkin creme brulee...with two spoons of course.

(not my photo but it looked just like this)
We finished dinner and walked into the center of town.
Where a local radio station was hosting a pumpkin carving contest
We visited some of the opened shops
where I had to beg Pete to accompany me
You may remember my recent post about the steeples in Newburyport?
We had a great time together
But of course true to my husband's nature as I tried to take his photo,
he resorted to his usual charm.
 Go Sox
OK, so we live in Boston and by default are die-hard Sox fans!
Congratulations to the Boston Red Sox for winning the 2013 ALCS
Off to the World Series
(Thinking of you Dad)
