He has had a tough time acclimating to high school. The increase in academics and social expectations are overwhelming for him. So much so that he has spoken of thoughts of suicide.
I take his comments seriously and see his words as a desperate cry for help. I wasted no time meeting with his psychiatrist and scheduling a visit with a highly recommended male counselor.
I have once again unleashed our advocate, the pit bull and have scheduled a team meeting at the school for next Friday.
In the meantime, hubby and I have been trying to bring a little extra joy into Weston's life.
This weekend I brought the boys to a local veterinarian who had rescued a few kittens.
We couldn't resist and brought home this.....
This is "Flash"
Weston was responsible for determining whether this little guy was suitable for our family.
After a few licks to the face, Weston was convinced this miniature fluff ball was the right fit.
We brought him home in a cardboard box provided by the vet along with some flea medicine and kitten food.
I am happy to report that Flash is just crazy about Weston, following him everywhere and giving Weston exactly what he needs.....a good healthy dose of unconditional love.
