Our Journey Raising Two Children with Special Needs

This blog chronicles our life raising two children, Nicholas 15, diagnosed with Prader-Willi Syndrome and Weston 18, diagnosed with Autism/Asperger's/ADHD. It's the ups, the downs, the joys, the sorrows and most importantly, the beauty of living a life less perfect, a life more meaningful.

The Golden Parent

Ok so when it comes to Weston's welfare, I:

fight
fight
fight
advocate
advocate
advocate
drive
drive
drive
spend hours and hours
in psychiatric hospitals and ER departments
I work behind the scenes
to develop plans with:
psychiatrists
psychologists
social-workers
counselors
physicians
nurses
dentists
principals
teachers
administrators
judges
attorneys
insurance companies
pharmacists
specialists
I selflessly sacrifice
my time, health and sanity
to ensure his life is a healthy one.

 But if you ask Weston
just who it is
 that makes him most happy?

Hands down
his answer will always be:

Dad
